From Land To Sea Swordfish Birthday Card

Hello and welcome back....

I have another Ocean inspired card to share today, using the same three Stamp Sets as yesterday, From Land To Sea, Sea Street and And Many More.
I love these backgrounds No two are the same no matter how hard you try to recreate them...

So I started off with one of the backgrounds I had made and stamped the shoal of fishes four times on to the background in versamark then heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder, I love those shiny little fish...

I stamped and cut out two of the Swordfish, then coloured them with the Blender Pens and Smoky Slate ink. Then I used my glitter pen to add some highlights to them...

I popped them on the card using Dimensionals and added a few sequins using the Fine Tip Glue Pen.

I made a little Banner with some Whisper White card and stamped Happy Birthday in Night of Navy and attached it to the card with a staple.

Lastly I put a piece of Night Of Navy Seam Binding Ribbon down the edge of the card and topped it with some of the Bermuda Bay Sequins.

I am so pleased with this card, although it looks much better up close and personal...lol.

Hope you like today's Card, thanks for stopping by....

Turtley Awesome.....Dude...

Woa Welcome back Dudes & Dudettes....

If you haven't seen Finding Nemo you probably won't get the reference, but its turtley awesome....lol. Just like the Turtles on this card....
My friend and fellow demo Sarah Poulton made this gorgeous card HERE and I like it so much I had a hankering to do something on the same lines.. The backgrounds I have been creating using the Acrylic Block Watercolour Technique with Salt, (see previous post for method) had been intended for Christmas cards but looking at some of them they just screamed Ocean......
So I came up with this......

The background colours are Night of Navy and Island Indigo. I stamped the Turtles in the New Basic Black and coloured them using the Blender Pens and Old Olive and Always Artichoke, then I cut them out and covered them with Crystal Effects and left them to dry.

Meanwhile I stamped the little shoal of fishes from the Stamp Set Sea Street on to the background in Versamark ink and sprinkled on Silver Embossing Power and heat embossed them...

I added little specks of glitter using the New Fine Tip Glue Pen and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.

I popped the Turtles on to the card with Dimensionals..

I matted the background onto a piece of Whisper White which I had stamped Happy Birthday from the Stamp Set And Many More. I added two little crabs from the stamp set Sea Street.

I hope you agree that its Turtley Awesome....

Flipper the Dolphin

Hello and welcome back..

I made Flipper a while ago but hadn't gotten around to making his card, so decided it was time...

I used a background I had created previously using the Acrylic block watercolour technique...check back on previous posts for method..

Then I stamped the shoal of fishes in versamark ink and sprinkled silver embossing powder over, you can see how they shine just like real fish darting through the water...

The Happy Birthday is from the Remembering Your Birthday Stamp Set and the little crab and star fish are from the Sea Street Stamp Set.

I wound some Linen Thread around the card and tied it in a knot.

Flipper is a paper Piecing Template which I cut out on my Silhouette Cameo, I sponged all the pieces before sticking him together, then added some detail using the White Gel Pen.

I added a little bit of stamping to the envelope back and front.... so cute...

And there he is all done...

I hope you like Flipper, thanks for stopping by...

Cute Handbag and Note Cards

Hi there and welcome back...

Today I have been making these little Handbags, I started off making one which fitted 4" x 4" Note Cards and Envelopes...
It is such a cute size and would be ideal as treat bags for a party or to hold a small gift or to give someone with little Thanks You cards or Notecards.....

I used the Uni-ball Signo White Gel Pen to do the faux stitching around the top and bottom of the bag and around the handles.

The Stamp Set I used is called Sea Street which is still in the New catalogue but the matching Designer Series Paper is retiring at the end of May 2015....BooHoo

I love this colour combination of Real Red and Night of Navy it is just Beautiful....

I used the Envelope Punch Board to make a matching envelope.....

So very smart and so easy to make, they look really great.....
If you would like to know how to make the Handbag you will find a brilliant video here Bag in a Box.... there are others but this one is really clear...
