An Open Heart Thank You

Hi there and welcome back...

Today's card features the gorgeous An Open Heart stamp set and the Hardwood Stamp. I love this stamp set and don't think I will ever part with it, sadly it is now retired from Stampin'Up, though it may be available on the secondary market.

The base card is Night of Navy, with a layer of Soft Sky on top. The bottom half is Whisper White and I have stamped it with the Hardwood stamp in Smokey Slate. I sniped between each panel to give it a more authentic look.

I stamped the bird in Chocolate Chip ink on to a scrap of Whisper White and then using Blender Pens I coloured it in with So Saffron, Crushed Curry, Crumb Cake and Soft Suede inks.

I stamped Thank You on to a scrap of Whisper White and punched it out with a scallop oval, then I sponged around the edge with Chocolate Chip ink.

I stamped the foliage in Pear Pizzazz and went over the stems with a Chocolate Chip Marker and the leaves with a Garden Green Marker and the berries in Cherry Cobbler.

The Wilderness Awaits Day 7

Hi there and welcome back....

So this is the last card for the week and I'm ending with the gorgeous Duck image, I love Ducks when my children were young we used to spend many a happy hour or two feeding the ducks, not so much now :(

So for this card I started off with an Early Espresso card base which I topped with a piece of Crumb Cake which I had stamped with the Hardwood stamp using Crumb Cake ink.

Then I topped that with another piece of Early Espresso and finally Whisper White. I stamped the Happy Birthday from the stamp set Remembering Your Birthday in Early Espresso.

I stamped the Duck in Basic Black and then water coloured it in using my Aqua Painter and ink pads and I added water underneath and used my white gel pen to add some ripples.

Day 7 Picture Perfect meets Botanical Blooms

Hello and welcome back....

I love today's card, it's just one of those cards you make and think wow that's gorgeous....lol

So I started with a Crumb Cake base card, then I added a layer of Very Vanilla card on top of which is a layer of Whisper White which I have stamped on.

I stamped the Hardwood stamp in Sahara Sand and then I sponged some Crumb Cake all over it. I then stamped the sentiment in Basic Black in the top left corner, this could be anything to suite, ie it could be a birthday card, I chose Celebrate You from the Birthday Blossoms stamp set.

I stamped the Hummingbird on a separate piece of Whisper White card using Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant inks. I then cut it out ready to attach to the card with dimensionals.

I cut out the flowers and leaves using the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies, I used Crushed Curry, Watermelon Wonder and Pumpkin Pie card for the flowers and Old Olive and Wild Wasabi card for the leaves. I embossed the flowers to give them some dimension before sticking them to the card. I added a tiny pearl which I had coloured black to the center of each flower.
