Love Punch Art Day 2 Lego Birthday
Hello and welcome back....
Have you ever looked at the expressions on Lego Mini Figure heads? There are in fact quite a few, which led me to make this cute card.
I started with a Pacific Point Card Base 13 cm x 26 cm folded in half it makes a 13 cm x 13 cm square card. I then added a 12 cm x 12 cm Daffodil Delight mat.
Then I cut four Real Red squares 5 1/2 cm x 5 1/2 cm and rounded the corners with the Project Life Corner rounder and stuck them to the Daffoldil Delight layer.
The heads are all basically the same except for their faces. I started with a Daffodil Delight rectangle 5 cm x 4 cm and rounded the corners, then I went around each one with a Basic Black marker. Next I added the bit at the top and bottom, 2 cm x 1 cm and 3 cm x 1 cm again going around the edges with a black marker. The eyes are the 1/4" Circle punch. The sunglasses and the open mouth I cut out of black card, the rest is drawn on using a black marker.
I made a little Birthday Banner using the Happy Birthday from the stamp set Remembering Your Birthday, stamped in Basic Black on Whisper White and matted onto Pacific Point.

Star Wars R2D2 Birthday Card
Hello and welcome back...
Today's card is Star Wars themed and features that lovable droid R2D2...
Isn't he adorable....The base card is Smoky Slate and is A5 in size, the second layer is Pacific Point.
The top layer is Basic Black and I have punched stars out using the Confetti Star Punch and I have put some Glitter card behind the stars.
R2D2 is made using punches and my Stampin' Trimmer.
The sentiment is from the stamp set You're So Lovely stamped on Whisper White and mounted on Smoky Slate with a sliver of Pacific Point underneath.
I used the 2 1/2" Circle punch for the head and the Word Window Punch for the panels on his front. His main body is 3" x 2 3/4" in Whisper White. The legs are 5/8" x 3" and rounded at one end also Whisper White. The square on the head are 5/16" square and Pacific Point. The feet are 1 1/8" x 5/8" and are tapered to fit the legs. The blue strips are 3/16" x 1 5/8". It was kind of a lot of work but well worth it I think.

To Boldly Go....Birthday Card
Hello and welcome back...
I have to admit that I love Star Trek even from the very beginning, so when I saw this on Pinterest I just had to make it....
This card is A5 in size, with a base card of Basic Grey and then a layer of Smoky Slate. Then a layer of Basic Black which I have added stars to, I used the Confetti Star Border Punch to punch out the stars from some Whisper White and them I stuck them randomly to the card. What I like about this is that the stars are different sizes.
For the Enterprise I used punches, dies and my trusty Trimmer, I prepared all the pieces, most out of Smoky Slate with a little Real Red and some Whisper White card. I sponged around the edges of all the pieces before I assembled it.
For the saucer part I used the Circles Collection Framelits (also retiring, but being replaced by something hopefully better!) I hand wrote the name and number on the front with a Basic Black Marker Pen.
One of my favourite Birthday Phrases, from Remembering Your Birthday Stamp Set ( also retiring), I love this font and the cute sentiment...
I used:
Saucer Section 3 1/4", 1 7/8" and 1 7/16" Circle dies (or 3rd, 4th and 7th circle die 1 being the smallest)
2" x 1 1/4" rectangle tapered down to 7/8" and 1 3/4" x 1" rectangle tapered down to 6/8"
The bit that connects the back to the front 4" x 1/2"
The middle back section is the Extra Large Oval punched in Smoky slate with a bit trimmed off and a white oval placed behind it and trimmed.
The two engines are the Large Oval trimmed with a Real Red Oval behind it.
The joining piece is 3" x 1/2"

This is a Bitter Sweet time of year for me as a demonstrator, lots of things that I love are retiring but then there are lots of New gorgeous things coming.....
