Hello and welcome back.... Happy 1st October.....If you saw Tuesday's post then today's post is along the same theme, but instead of Halloween we are talking Christmas....
For each of these cards I created the background the same way as for the Halloween card, but instead of using a brayer to apply the versamark I just put the pad straight to the card so instead of just the trees being glittered the whole card is glittered...
I used the Scalloped Tag Topper to create the tag and stamped the beautiful sentiment from the Flurry of Wishes Stamp Set in Night of Navy on it and finished it with a bow made from Night of Navy Seam Binding Ribbon.
You can kind of get an idea just how sparkly this card is, its is just so beautiful, I love it....
Here is another, this time I used Pacific Point ink..
It's so pretty....
I love this sentiment too...I kind of wanted to write Follow the Star, but instead I stamped some stars and added a little star in he sky...
This one I used Island Indigo ink, which is my favourite? mmm I don't know I love them all......
Hope you enjoyed, thanks for stopping by.... Happy Crafting X
Hello and welcome back.. I have a fantastic card to share with you today, it's using a really cool technique and the Woodland embossing folder. It's not a new technique but it is really fun and a bit messy....lol.
The base card is Pumpkin Pie Card, topped with a layer of Basic Black and finally the embossed layer which is Whisper White. So I started off with the piece of Whisper White and the Woodland embossing Folder. Open up the embossing folder, you want the side where the background is raised not the trees and you are going to ink up this side, either by putting the ink pad straight on the folder or by using a brayer..its up to you.. Then you put your white card in the folder and put it through the Big Shot.
You end up with the background being orange but the trees staying white. Next I gently brayered over the raised trees with versamark ink, sprinkled on some heat and stick powder and heated it until it changed colour then sprinkled on some Dazzling Diamonds glitter and heated it again to set the glitter...just beautiful..
For the sign I stamped the sentiment in Basic Black and cut it out using the Word Window Punch and matted it onto some Basic Black card.
I added some little bats and some spiders to make it seem spooky....
Its hard to see from the photos but the trees are so sparkly it really makes the white of the trees stand out...
If you like today's card pop back on Thursday for some more using this technique... Thanks for stopping by... Happy Crafting X
