Perpetual Birthday Calendar

Hello and welcome back...

Do you have problems remembering important dates? Well I do, all the time and it drives me crazy. Every year I tell myself I will do better this year and somehow it still runs away from me......lol.  So when I saw this in the Stampin'Up! catalogue I had to get one.

Its called The Perpetual Birthday Calendar Simply Created Kit.

The kit contains all of these elements, 12 printed calendar sheets, clipboard, banners, accents and alphabet stickers, bakers twine, ribbon, sequin trim, sequins and glitter. It comes in a beautiful kraft box, so you could make it up and give it to someone.

I decided to use the instructions provided as a guide, here is the January sheet on the clipboard, I added the matching stamp set to my order, as I really liked it. It has all the months and a background stamp for each month as well which I have used a lot on other projects.

As you can see the background stamps are very versatile, you have snowflakes, leaves, flowers, stars, splodges, dots and butterflies.

A close up of April, I used the dot stamp and the watercolour wash stamp, along with the April stamp. I added a glitter banner and a feather and an A for April. So pretty.

You can decorate the edges and corners, follow the guide or do your own thing theres lots of scope.

I had lots of elements left over which I can use on cards or other projects.

All the products used are listed below if you would like to order this kit and have a go for yourself, just click on an item to go to my on-line store.

Minion Mayhem

Hello and welcome back...

To a little Minion Mayhem, I don't normally make large A5 cards but I just couldn't resist making this birthday card big, if you follow my blog you will know I am Minion Mad.
I have just bought a Silhouette Cameo Cutting Machine which I have been playing with, its brilliant, you can download files for next to nothing... I Had a very basic Cricut Machine but it was very limiting and cartridges cost around £65 exch.. So when I came across the pattern for this little fellow I was hooked, especially as I have been hand cutting all my paper piecing up till now....so time consuming....

So I cut out all the pieces using Stampin'Up card stock ( Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight, Basic Black,Smoky Slate and Whisper White) and inked around the edges of each piece before sticking them together, then I used the Perpetual Birthday Calendar Stamp Set to stamp the stars in the background...

The Celebrate is a retired Stampin'Up Stamp Set, which I stamped in Pacific Point and coloured in with my  Daffodil Delight Stampin'Write Marker....

I am sooo pleased with how he came out as I did a little tinerking to the pattern, so really happy with the results...

I made an envelope with my Envelope Punch Board using a sheet of Brights Colour Collection DSP to co ordinate....

Well I hope you enjoyed today's post thanks for stopping by....

Wetlands Sunset

Hello and welcome back...

Today's cards feature the Wetlands Stamp Set...both my friend and I love this set so I guess it was a no brainer that we would use it.....

We just loved the colours of these cards Early Espresso, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight......

I love the colours, I love the images, they are just so gorgeous...

I snuck in the little butterflies, they are from The Perpetual Birthday Calendar Stamp Set, I used them to hide a small ink mark...

I was just so pleased with the end result....lovely...

For this card I stamped the goose on a piece of Whisper White and cut it out so that the sun was behind it.

We really loved making these cards....

Zoo Babies Congrats

Hello and welcome back...

Today's card uses the same stamp sets as yesterday, but with a slight twist...

I have used Bermuda Bay Ink and Card Stock for this card. I stamped the Zebra onto Whisper White and cut it out with the 2" circle punch and then matted it onto a 2 3/8" Bermuda Bay Scallop Circle.

I used my Bermuda Bay Stampin'Write Marker to do the faux stitching around the edge of the circle, and I used my Paper Piercing Tool and Mat to put holes in each scallop. I used dimentionals to layer them together and onto the card.

I stamped the cluster of butterflies from the Perpetual Birthday Calendar Set in Bermuda Bay onto the card. Then using dimentionals matted it onto a Thick Whisper White Card Blank.

And added a matching Envelope....

Another cute Baby Card...

Zoo Babies Congratulations

Hello and welcome back,

Today's card is made with the Zoo Babies and Perpetual Birthday Calendar Stamp Sets.... The Perpetual Birthday Calendar Set is Photopolymer and is really easy to place your image where you want it, it also has some great images which can be used for so much more than just the calendar.

I used the Thick Whisper White for the card base and stamped on normal Whisper White card stock.

The sentiment and the Elephant are from the Zoo Babies Stamp Set and they are stamped in Melon Mambo Ink.

I used the 2" circle punch to cut out the Elephant and the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle punch to cut out the Melon Mambo Scallop Circle.

I used the Star cluster from the Perpetual Birthday Calendar Stamp Set to create the background in Melon Mambo and added the Congratulations.

I love putting White on White it gives the card such a clean crisp look...
