Christmas Treat Handbags

Hello and welcome back...

Today I have made some tiny handbags inspired by Becky Roberts, she made these as part of her 12 days of Christmas projects back in 2012.... I kind of just guessed at the sizes although you can buy her tutorial which includes all 12 of her projects.

They are so cute and I just love the NEW Home for Christmas DSP... the pictures in the catalogue just don't do it justice...

I teamed it up with Mossy Meadow Card, what I love about Stampin'Up! is that they list the co-ordinating colours so you can match up your card stock with your Designer Series Paper perfectly...

I added one of the NEW Winter Wonderland Embellishments, so pretty and a little tag made with the Word Window Punch and the Teeny Tiny Sentiments Stamp Set.

The bag holds 4 Hershey's Nuggets quite nicely. These would be great as favours on your Christmas table or with a little present hanging on the Christmas tree.....

Large Handbag

Hi there and welcome back,

Continuing with the Handbag theme I have made a larger Handbag, It's a great size if you want to give a larger gift.....

I also made a Handbag Charm...a cute little teddy. you could personalise it as I have done...

To make the larger bag you have to join two pieces of card together to get the length you need, so I thought I would make a feature out of the join by putting a piece of card over it and adding faux stitching.

I added some of the Venetian Crochet Trim to hold on my bag charm...

And here are the three bags together....
If you would like to make a larger bag check out this video by Caroline Hallett HERE

Handbag Gift Bag.

Hello and welcome back,

As promised I have some more Handbag Gift Bags to share with you...

Yesterday you saw the really cute Mini Handbag which held 4" x 4" note cards. I had previously made some 5" x 5" cards in the New In Colours which I thought would look great in a little handbag. So I tweaked the dimensions a little and made this....

So here is the bag in Mint Macaron, made exactly the same way as the smaller version but I added an inch. The faux stitching was done with the New In Colour Stampin'write Marker.

I used the flower from the Crazy About You Stamp Set, which really lends itself to being layered, to make a bag charm.

Then I added some of the luscious New In Colour Dotted Lace Trim, believe me the picture in the catalogue does not do it justice, it is beautiful and so soft...

And here it is with the card I made. Behind is an envelope made using the Envelope Punch Board and the New Envelope paper shown here in Mint Macaron.

The New Envelope paper is available in the New In Colours (Mint Macaron, Cucumber Crush, Tip Top Taupe, Delightful Dijon and Watermelon Wonder) and also Neutrals (Whisper White, Very Vanilla and Kraft).

Here are the two Handbags side by side so you can see the size difference.

The New Catalogue products will be available from 2nd June 2015, if you would like a copy of the New Catalogue please let me know.... Other products such as the above stamp set and matching punch are available now just click on the product and it will take you to my online store....

Cute Handbag and Note Cards

Hi there and welcome back...

Today I have been making these little Handbags, I started off making one which fitted 4" x 4" Note Cards and Envelopes...
It is such a cute size and would be ideal as treat bags for a party or to hold a small gift or to give someone with little Thanks You cards or Notecards.....

I used the Uni-ball Signo White Gel Pen to do the faux stitching around the top and bottom of the bag and around the handles.

The Stamp Set I used is called Sea Street which is still in the New catalogue but the matching Designer Series Paper is retiring at the end of May 2015....BooHoo

I love this colour combination of Real Red and Night of Navy it is just Beautiful....

I used the Envelope Punch Board to make a matching envelope.....

So very smart and so easy to make, they look really great.....
If you would like to know how to make the Handbag you will find a brilliant video here Bag in a Box.... there are others but this one is really clear...
