From Land To Sea Swordfish Birthday Card

Hello and welcome back....

I have another Ocean inspired card to share today, using the same three Stamp Sets as yesterday, From Land To Sea, Sea Street and And Many More.
I love these backgrounds No two are the same no matter how hard you try to recreate them...

So I started off with one of the backgrounds I had made and stamped the shoal of fishes four times on to the background in versamark then heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder, I love those shiny little fish...

I stamped and cut out two of the Swordfish, then coloured them with the Blender Pens and Smoky Slate ink. Then I used my glitter pen to add some highlights to them...

I popped them on the card using Dimensionals and added a few sequins using the Fine Tip Glue Pen.

I made a little Banner with some Whisper White card and stamped Happy Birthday in Night of Navy and attached it to the card with a staple.

Lastly I put a piece of Night Of Navy Seam Binding Ribbon down the edge of the card and topped it with some of the Bermuda Bay Sequins.

I am so pleased with this card, although it looks much better up close and personal...lol.

Hope you like today's Card, thanks for stopping by....

Turtley Awesome.....Dude...

Woa Welcome back Dudes & Dudettes....

If you haven't seen Finding Nemo you probably won't get the reference, but its turtley awesome....lol. Just like the Turtles on this card....
My friend and fellow demo Sarah Poulton made this gorgeous card HERE and I like it so much I had a hankering to do something on the same lines.. The backgrounds I have been creating using the Acrylic Block Watercolour Technique with Salt, (see previous post for method) had been intended for Christmas cards but looking at some of them they just screamed Ocean......
So I came up with this......

The background colours are Night of Navy and Island Indigo. I stamped the Turtles in the New Basic Black and coloured them using the Blender Pens and Old Olive and Always Artichoke, then I cut them out and covered them with Crystal Effects and left them to dry.

Meanwhile I stamped the little shoal of fishes from the Stamp Set Sea Street on to the background in Versamark ink and sprinkled on Silver Embossing Power and heat embossed them...

I added little specks of glitter using the New Fine Tip Glue Pen and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.

I popped the Turtles on to the card with Dimensionals..

I matted the background onto a piece of Whisper White which I had stamped Happy Birthday from the Stamp Set And Many More. I added two little crabs from the stamp set Sea Street.

I hope you agree that its Turtley Awesome....

From Land to Sea meets Wetlands Part 2

Hello and welcome back...

I do love the Acrylic Block Watercolour Technique, I quite often find myself playing with different colour combinations, which is what inspired yesterday and today's cards...

I have used several Stamp sets on this card, Wetlands, From Land to Sea and Tin of Cards. I started with a Thick Whisper White Card base and stamped the border from Tin of Cards on the right hand side. Then I layer a piece of Pool Party card, topped with a piece of Whisper White card.

The sentiment is also from Tin of Cards stamped in Basic Grey...(spoiler alert.. New Basic Black and Basic Grey ink pads are in the Autumn / Winter Catalogue due out on September 1st...)

Then I masked off the outer edge of the card and stamped the beautiful lighthouse also in basic grey....

Then I stamped the goose and the grass in basic grey and removed the mask..

And there we have the finished card, so pretty I love it....

I hope you love it too, thanks for stopping by....

From Land to Sea meets Wetlands

Hello and welcome back...

Today's card features the two stamp sets From Land to Sea and Wetlands.. Two very beautiful sets...

The base card is Crumb Cake, with a layer of Pool Party card, topped with a layer of Whisper White Card...

I stamped the lighthouse in Basic Grey and drew some little v's to represent birds in the distance..

I wrapped some bakers twine around the card several times and tied in a bow, then I drew some white dots down the edge of the Pool Party Card.

The sentiment is from the Wetlands Stamp Set stamped in Basic Grey ink, as are the little birds....

The background was created using the watercolour technique of colouring an acrylic block with water based Stampin' Write Markers spritzing with water and placing the block on the Whisper White Card, I love watching the water soak into the card leaving a beautiful watercolour effect on the card....

And there we have the finished card.....

So I hope you like today's card, thanks for stopping by....

From Land To Sea Card in a Box

Hey there and welcome back....

Today I thought I would have a go at making one of those card in a box thingys... I had thought that they looked a bit complicated but actually they are super easy...

So I have seen lots of different designs, but since I live by the sea I decided to use the gorgeous new stamp set From Land To Sea and make a nautical one...

Looks pretty cool doesn't it......

I used Night of Navy, Bermuda Bay and Island Indigo Card Stock and Night of Navy Ink for the stamping. I stamped and cut out the images and then arranged them in the box....

And the brilliant thing is it folds down flat for posting...

The outside of the box, top is Bermuda Bay and bottom is Island Indigo stamped with Night of Navy using the Hardwood Stamp.

The back is left plain so that I can write my message on it..

I love it and so how is it made? well check out this video

Once you know how to make the basic box the sky's the limit...lol
