Birthday Blooms Day 6 Watercolour Tags

Hello and welcome back....

Today I have been playing with my ink pads doing the acrylic block technique and having lots of fun and getting very inky fingers...

I thought I would make some gift tags using the water colour Acrylic block technique, I love how you always get something different no matter how you do the same thing each time.

Each tag has two colours, they look a lot better in real life, the photos are not very good.

I used matching colour tones for all but the Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie one, I just really liked the two colours together.

These have to be my favourite two Bermuda Bay and Pool Party and Pacific Point and Tempting Turquoise. I love experimenting with different colours so I end up with lots of pieces of card which I can use later on in different projects.

I cut the pieces into tags using the tag topper punch and then stamped the flower onto each one using Basic Black ink, some I added a sentiment also from the same stamp set.

I also made some book marks, these were made using the same techmique but using three colours instead of two.

I used Thick bakers Twine through the holes and after I tied it I then undid the strings so you end up with lots of wavy strings which looks kind of fun.

I just love the beautiful colours, I hope you do too, thanks for stopping by....

Rose Garden Wonder

Hello and welcome back...

This week Is all about the New Rose Garden Bundle, the Rose Wonder Stamp set and the Rose Garden Thinlits dies, buy them separately and pay £52, but buy them as a bundle and pay only £44......awesome and I do love a bargain.

So here is the first card...

I have used the gorgeous stamp set to create this card, it's a larger than normal card (6" x 6"), the base card is Pacific Point with a layer of Whisper White which has been embossed with the Brick Wall Embossing Folder.

For the roses I stamped the image on Whisper White card with versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then to colour them I used the Acrylic block watercolour technique (see previous posts) using Pacific point, Night of Navy and Bermuda Bay Inks.

I stamped the label and greeting and cut it out using the matching die, then popped it on the card with dimensionals.

The leaves I brayered with Mossy Meadow ink and then wiped the embossed lines clean with a tissue, quick and easy. I added a piece of Whisper White Organza Ribbon down the left side and layered the roses on the card with dimensionals. Then I added the leaves sticking them down with Tombow.

Lastly I used the clear Wink of Stella Glitter brush to add some sparkle to the roses.

All products used are listed below, if you order this bundle and maybe add a Wink of Stella Glitter Brush and you would then be able to choose a freebie from the SAB Brochure....and that's in addition to the saving you make on buying the bundle. Plus don't forget to add the Hostess code to receive more goodies from me.....

Thanks for stopping by come back tomorrow for Curvy Keepsake Wednesday and Thursday for another Rose Garden card.

From Land To Sea Swordfish Birthday Card

Hello and welcome back....

I have another Ocean inspired card to share today, using the same three Stamp Sets as yesterday, From Land To Sea, Sea Street and And Many More.
I love these backgrounds No two are the same no matter how hard you try to recreate them...

So I started off with one of the backgrounds I had made and stamped the shoal of fishes four times on to the background in versamark then heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder, I love those shiny little fish...

I stamped and cut out two of the Swordfish, then coloured them with the Blender Pens and Smoky Slate ink. Then I used my glitter pen to add some highlights to them...

I popped them on the card using Dimensionals and added a few sequins using the Fine Tip Glue Pen.

I made a little Banner with some Whisper White card and stamped Happy Birthday in Night of Navy and attached it to the card with a staple.

Lastly I put a piece of Night Of Navy Seam Binding Ribbon down the edge of the card and topped it with some of the Bermuda Bay Sequins.

I am so pleased with this card, although it looks much better up close and personal...lol.

Hope you like today's Card, thanks for stopping by....

Turtley Awesome.....Dude...

Woa Welcome back Dudes & Dudettes....

If you haven't seen Finding Nemo you probably won't get the reference, but its turtley awesome....lol. Just like the Turtles on this card....
My friend and fellow demo Sarah Poulton made this gorgeous card HERE and I like it so much I had a hankering to do something on the same lines.. The backgrounds I have been creating using the Acrylic Block Watercolour Technique with Salt, (see previous post for method) had been intended for Christmas cards but looking at some of them they just screamed Ocean......
So I came up with this......

The background colours are Night of Navy and Island Indigo. I stamped the Turtles in the New Basic Black and coloured them using the Blender Pens and Old Olive and Always Artichoke, then I cut them out and covered them with Crystal Effects and left them to dry.

Meanwhile I stamped the little shoal of fishes from the Stamp Set Sea Street on to the background in Versamark ink and sprinkled on Silver Embossing Power and heat embossed them...

I added little specks of glitter using the New Fine Tip Glue Pen and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.

I popped the Turtles on to the card with Dimensionals..

I matted the background onto a piece of Whisper White which I had stamped Happy Birthday from the Stamp Set And Many More. I added two little crabs from the stamp set Sea Street.

I hope you agree that its Turtley Awesome....
