Hello and welcome back.... Have you ever looked at the expressions on Lego Mini Figure heads? There are in fact quite a few, which led me to make this cute card.
I started with a Pacific Point Card Base 13 cm x 26 cm folded in half it makes a 13 cm x 13 cm square card. I then added a 12 cm x 12 cm Daffodil Delight mat.
Then I cut four Real Red squares 5 1/2 cm x 5 1/2 cm and rounded the corners with the Project Life Corner rounder and stuck them to the Daffoldil Delight layer.
The heads are all basically the same except for their faces. I started with a Daffodil Delight rectangle 5 cm x 4 cm and rounded the corners, then I went around each one with a Basic Black marker. Next I added the bit at the top and bottom, 2 cm x 1 cm and 3 cm x 1 cm again going around the edges with a black marker. The eyes are the 1/4" Circle punch. The sunglasses and the open mouth I cut out of black card, the rest is drawn on using a black marker.
I made a little Birthday Banner using the Happy Birthday from the stamp set Remembering Your Birthday, stamped in Basic Black on Whisper White and matted onto Pacific Point. Product List
Hello and welcome back... I decided to do another week of Punch Art as it proved to be very popular, so I'm starting the week with a really girly card and Lego's Uni Kitty from the Lego Movie (just in case you don't know what I'm talking about...lol).
She is so adorable and if you haven't seen the film, why not! Everything is Awesome...lol So the card base I used is the new Flirty Flamingo and I layered that with Peekaboo Peach.
For the background I stamped stars and hearts from the stamp set Tin of Cards in Peekaboo Peach. Then I stamped Happy Birthday also from Tin of Cards in Basic Black at the bottom.
Uni Kitty is quite easy to make as she is mostly squares, rectangles and triangle with some circles thrown in. I used 1/2" circles for the eyes, the tail and face were hand drawn and cut out, the body is 2 1/4" x 1 5/8" as is the head. Product List
Hello and welcome back... This is the last day for the New In Colour projects, although I am sure I will be revisiting them as they are with us for the next two years..... I have used the gorgeous Rose Garden Thinlits and the matching stamp set Rose Wonder.
For each base card I cut an A4 piece of card in half length ways, scored it at 10 1/2 cm and folded it in half.
I then cut a mat out of Whisper White and popped it through the Big Shot with the Rose Garden Thinlit. I carefully removed the Rose from the mat and snipped the corners so I only had half the mat left.
I stuck this to the base card leaving a small border and then put the Rose back in to the mat. When cutting out intricate designs I use the Precision Base Plate as this gives a much better cut than using the Magnetic Platform and to get all those fiddly bits out I use the Die Brush its so much quicker and easier, especially when doing multiple cards.
The sentiment is from the matching stamp set Rose Wonder. I am so glad this made it into the New Catalogue its just so beautiful...
