Bats

I was looking on the internet as you do...lol and I came across someone who had made little bats using the Elegant Butterfly Punch..cool.

So I had a go and although they were cute they were a bit rounded for me so I tweeked it a bit.

So you punch out your butterfly from Basic Black cardstock.....

Fold the butterfly in half and draw some curves like so...

And voila one cute little bat...

After you have cut one or two you will find you don't need to draw the curves any more.
So how good is that, I will try and remember where I saw them and post a link.
Thanks for stopping by, Happy Crafting.

Pumpkin Carving

Well Hello

Today I am going to share with you Pumpkin Carving, its really big in America and some people really go to town. Back in the day I started small, just a basic scary face but I progressed to more complicated designs. This is the one I did last time..

You can get patterns and tools on the internet I started with the Pumpkin Masters Pattern Book check out their website for some really cool designs they run a competition each year and some of the entries are amazing.

This is another one that I have done before a cat sitting on the moon.

I really like the scary ones too...

I love this one of Disney's Stitch he is soo cute.

I hope you enjoyed, check back at Halloween to see which design I did this year if you dare........lol..

Halloween Trick or Treat..

Well Hello,

Halloween is one of my favourite times of the year, when my children were smaller we used to have fantastic Halloween parties, we would dress up, decorate the house, carve pumpkins and have lots of spooky fun. Not so much nowerdays as my children are "too old" for that stuff. Me however I guess I have never really grown up...... so this year I have decided to have a bit of Halloween fun.
So to get me in the mood I thought I would start with a bit of Halloween crafting.........

I made an Autumnal wreath using an evergreen wreath and decorating it with Autumn leaves and tiny pumpkins, things I already had in my Halloween Box.
I then made Halloween cards with matching envelopes and matching Treat Bags.

I made some cute little 4"x4" Halloween cards, the spooky eyes are made using the wing of the Build a Bird Punch with a little bit sliced off and then stamped with Happy Halloween from the Good Greetings Stamp Set in craft white ink.

The matching envelopes were made using the Envelope Punch Board, so easy..

The Treat Bag topper is made using the Top Note Die, in Basic Black cardstock and stamped with Happy Halloween, one of the stamps from the Good Greetings Stamp set in Craft ink..so cute..

Then the cello bags were filled with yummy Candy Corn to finish them off.
mmm mmmm.....
