90th Birthday

Hellooooo. . . .

I was asked by a colleague to make a 90th birthday card for her mum, this is what I came up with. . . . .

When I made the card I realised that it was never going to fit in an A4 envelope, he he, so had to set to and make a box for it to go in. I would have preferred a cream box with Gumball green stamping on, but unfortunatly I didn't have any cardstock big enough. So I had to settle for green. The recipient was very pleased with it so not to worry hey. . . . . . .

 Heres the card in its box. . . . . . . . . .

The sentiment is from the Lovely Letters Alphabet, so beautiful and elegant.

The large flower is made using the Stampin'Up ornament punch, its actually really easy to make, I spritzed it with some Vanilla Shimmer, it doesn't show very well but it looked gorgeous.

The small flower is made using the scallop circle punches, this one used the 6cm and 4.4cm punches, I did a tutorial which shows me making them with the 4.4cm and the new 3.2cm scallop circle punch, same principal only different size punches.

Check out all those tiny pearls down the edge of the scallop border and in the middle of the itty bitty flowers, I got through quite a lot. Plus those lovely large pearls.

And that gorgeous Victoria Crochet Trim, I just love it, I've got through so many rolls of it.  Well I hope you enjoyed, thanks for stopping by. . . . . . . . .

Christmas cards

helloooo. . . . . . . .

I have some more Christmas Cards to share, we made these at Novembers Card Class.
I am loving the new Christmas DSPs they are just gorgeous.
This card uses the Be of Good Cheer DSP, the colours are Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla and a touch of Summer Starfruit (Star), the ribbon is the new Gumball Green Stitched Satin Ribbon and the tree is from the Stampset Scentsational Season. The sentiment is from Sassy Salutations, I just love it..

I used the large scallop circle and the medium scallop circle punches, once stuck together I pricked through each scallop..
The papers are just gorgeous, they have a real Christmassy feel even when its just dots and stripes. This next card uses two of the stamps from the Ornament Keepsakes set, plus a little more Gumball Green ribbon and a cute little flower from the Itty Bitty punches. A dash of glamour with the new big pearls and a tiny one in the flower.
The pricking around the ornament is done using the new Festive Paper Piercing Pack, it gives you perfection every time.

More luscious paper from the Be of Good Cheer pack teamed with some Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding ribbon and the Floral Frames Framelits and the Daydream Medallions stamp set. Don't they look lovely layered up like that...

This next card uses more of that DSP and the sentiment from Sassy Salutations and also the Snow Flurries Bigz Die, I've glittered it with dazzling diamonds glitter and poped a large pearl in the center.

Same card different sentiment, this one is from the lovely Owl Occasions Set.

This last card is similar to the first one, I just used the cute little reindeer from the Joyous Celebrations set, he is sooo cute..

I am also loving the Snow Festival DSP, I used it a short while ago when I made the little books, anyhoo thats all for now, hope you enjoyed my rather long post.
Thanks for stopping by. . .. . . . . . .

Twisted Greeting Cards

Helloooo. . . . . .

I am back with some Christmas cards we made as a make and take at a workshop I did the other day, I wanted to do something easy but a little different. I found these on an American Stampin'Up Demo's site, Kelly Gettelfinger. Just put Twisted Greeting Card in google to see her demo.

They fit in a normal A6 envelope and can be used to put gift cards in as you have two pockets one in the front and one in the middle.  Of course they don't have to be for christmas, they can be for any occasion. They are really easy to make and I think look really good.
Hope you liked them.
Thanks for stopping by. . . . . . . . . . . .

Craft Space

Hellooooo. . . .

Back with some photos of my new craft space, it doesn't look like much but it means so much to me.

I have lovely storage for my current ribbons, at the top there is ink pad storage for retired ink pads, my current ink pads are on the carousel.

I have some storage for my Stampin'Up Pens, underneath the wreath and storage for current stamp sets right in front of me so I know what I have got.
More storage under the big table, both sides which hold everything from glues to tools. Then I have two big storage boxes holding my A4 and 12x12 card stock.

Its still a work in progress as the wall behind my space is going to be altered to take out the old fireplace which we can't use since the last people took out the chimney!!!! so that should give me more space eventually, but for now I'm over the moon with my new craft area and I do feel more creative when I'm sitting there with everything at my fingertips. . . . . . .well almost everything.
Anyhoo I hoped you enjoyed my little tour, I will be back with some Christmas cards I made with my Wednesday ladies.
Thanks for stopping by. . . . .

Christmas Wreath

Hellooooo. . . . .

I have been very busy and have lots to share to start with I made a Christmas Wreath, I have seen lots of them about but I got my inspiration from Sainsburys no less. . . . . . . .
I bought a polystyrene ring from Hobbycraft with intentions of covering ot with paper flowers but decided to do this instead. . . .
Its made with Stampin'Up Ribbon, some I'm afraid has retired, but I ran out of some so had to compromise.
There is grosgrain ribbon in Old Olive, Real Red and Chocolate Chip, the same colours in Satin Ribbon and some other bits and bobs. . . . .

I was soooo pleased with the finished product, I think it looks amazing, hope you like it, stop by again to see my new craft space, I'm sure it makes me feel more creative. . . . .
By for now
