Stampin'Up! Fabric

Helloooo

I am soooo glad that Stampin'Up! have brought out fabric, I used to sew quite a lot in the olden days (makes me sound like I'm a pensioner.....NO I'm not!...) but it does seem like ages since I made anything using fabric.
So when I saw the lovely fabric I thought I ought to get the old sewing machine out and give it a try....
I saw these bags on Jo Dumbleton's blog (link to the side) and she directs you to the blog she got them from. I just loved them straight away.

They are called Buttercup Bags and are very easy to make, you get the pattern and full instructions Free....

I also sent away for a class from bluejellystampin.blogspot.com which included this little owl, sooooo cute.....

I'm in the process of making another bag which I will show when completed, I am loving the spice cake fabric its gorgeous.  I have also nearly completed the rest of the owl set so pop back to see it, its really nice.
Anyhoo thats all for now, thanks for stopping by.....

Convention 2011 Make 'n' Takes

Helloooo

A bit late with this post as Convention was back in November last year, but I finished my projects and thought I would share them with you.
We had four projects to make, a scrapbook page, two cards and some bunting......

We made two lovely cards using the creative elements stampset, the first uses the beautiful flower daubed with champagne mist shimmer paint and some of the crumb cake seam binding ribbon.

The second card was very pretty too, we used the butterfly from the same set and coloured it using stampin'up! pens to give a multicoloured butterfly.....

You can see better in this one that the background has been stamped as well.

We also made this lovely bunting, using the petal cone die and the creative elements stamp set.

It looks sooo pretty hanging up and could lend itself to many an occasion using different colours and stamps...
And lastly a 6x6 scrapbook page, I just need to find a photo to put on it.

I have to say I always like the make'n'takes and these I was really pleased with.
Hope you like them and thanks for stopping by.........

January 2012 Card Class

Hellooooo....

At my Wednesday afternoon Stamp Class I thought we would start off the New Year with some 3D projects.  So we made a gorgeous box, a desk calendar and a little gift box.

We started with the gift box, it uses the big shot and the pillowbox die, sooo easy, then we made this lovely punch art owl to go on the front, we made some similar boxes with punch art owls on last year, but I saw this little chap on an American Demo's site and fell in love straight away. ( I will try and remember who's site and add to post)

These little boxes are so useful for giving sweet treats or a little bit of jewellary, the  uses are endless. I made some to hang on my Christmas Tree with sweeties in, they looked lovely.

So onto project 2 the desk callendar, again with a little owl theme going on, the callendars are really easy to make and I have made them for the last two years. Just changing the size or theme and you have a totally new callendar.

The owl is made using the owl punch, which makes this project super easy.

Project 3 was a pizza box which the callendar fitted into perfectly but could be used for just about anything, jewellary, chocolates, in fact they would make perfect wedding favour boxes, especially with that gorgeous flower on top.

That flower die is one of my favourites, you can create such beautiful flowers, this one uses 3 of each size offset slightly. I love it and those antique brads are just gorgeous
Anyway hope you like, thanks for stopping by....

What have I been up to?

Hellooooo

Well believe it or not quite a lot, just haven't managed to blog any of it so I'm trying to catch up a bit.
These are some cards we did as a make 'n' take at a recent workshop, I love the simplicity of them, they started out as valentine cards but noone really wanted valentines so they ended up as birthday cards instead.......

This is my personnal favourite and would have made a gorgeous valentine or even an anniversary card.

This however was the overall favourite with the ladies, it uses the French Foliage Stamp Set along with the new Postage stamp set, I think they go rather well together. The colour combo is Early Espresso, Very Vanilla and Cherry Cobbler, plus a touch of the gorgeous crochet ribbon...lovely

I was inspired by a card I saw on splitcoast stampers (I think) but can't remember, so thanks for the inspiration......

Hope you enjoyed, thanks for stopping by...

December ATC's

Helloooo,

A bit late I know but here are the ATCs I did for the December swap, the topic was Fairy Stories, now I couldn't think of what to do as I like to use all Stampin'Up! goodies. So I dug around in my Stampin'Up! retired stamps and found my old favourite the Gingerbread Man, ahhhh I love that little chap.
So what do you think, I know its not entirely Stampin'Up but I was quite pleased with them.
I never remember to take a photo before we swap to show how many we make , hmmm maybe next month, ooops that would be this month now hee hee....
We didn't have a topic for January, so our next one is February and the topic is Faces!!!!!!! mmmm I think I might have to do a bit of lateral thinking hee hee..........
Anyway thanks for stopping by........
