Flowers

Hellooo

Well I had a fantastic week away with the family, it all went way too fast. My internet access wasn't too good, it was great at the beginning of the week but then we lost it towards the end, hence no posts.
So here are some of the flowers I have made with the new DSP's, I have used Sunny Garden and Sweet and Sour papers, they are really gorgeous. The photos don't do them justice....

Well better get on I have my swaps to finish by Wednesday ready for Convention.
Thanks for stopping by...

Designer Papers

I was disappointed when Stampin'Up retired all of its Designer Series Papers as I had some real favourites. But it looks like they have redeemed themselves with the new DSP's I just love the Blueberry Crisp papers, especially as blue is my fave colour. Just look at them.....

But surprisingly for me I love the Sunny Garden and Sweet and Sour Papers too, pinks and oranges are not my colours at all, but they are just gorgeous.
I have been making flowers with them and they look fab..

And the new Christmas papers Jolly Holiday are really growing on me.

If you would like to order some why not e-mail me..

It has been just gorgeous here in sunny Wales, today we went for a long walk along the beach, Shep is having a fabulous time, the sea is not too cold for him, shudder......

Shep made a friend, a female border collie!! they had fun chasing each other around, so fast it was hard to get a good picture.

I just love it here it is so beautiful....

This is the view from our bedroom window, the sun was just making an appearance, behind the mountains in the background..

Card Class

Hellooo

I had a lovely class Wednesday afternoon, we made three christmas cards using some of the new catalogue products.
The first card used Baroque Motifs and Tree Trimmings stamps sets, some of the new Christmas DSP, Real Red Taffeta Ribbon and tiny gems.

The second used the Comtempo Christmas stamp set, Cherry Cobbler Cardstock, Christmas DSP and Old Olive Taffeta Ribbon.

The last card was really simple, it used Night of Navy cardstock, Serene Snowflakes stamp set and the new Fiskars Crimper.

I saw the new crimper demo'd at the Regional Training and thought it was fab, I love the way you can crimp the middle of the card, we also saw how to make leaves as well, I will have to post a picture of some, they look great.
Anyway thats all for now...Thanks for dropping by...

Workshop

 Hi there,

I don't know whats its like where you are but its been absolutly tipping it down with rain here, I have to say I actually like the rain, but not when I am trying to load up my car in preparation for my workshop...

I said I would post the make & take we made at the workshop and here it is....

Its using some of my favourite colours, Chocolate Chip, Real Red and Crumb Cake and a new favourite the stamp Dasher. It also used the stamp set Tiny Tags and matching tag punch, along with real red ribbon.
I was given this card at the training in High Wycombe by Teri Pocock as one of the swaps and just loved it. Unfortunatly I don't know if Teri has a blog, if you know please let me know.

Thanks for dropping by...

Regional Training

Last month I attended Stampin'Up!'s Regional Training at High Wycombe, we did some business training and watched some demo's, unfortunatly things overran and we didn't have time to do the make and take, so took it home to do. Well I have only just gotten round to doing them and here they are.....

I think they are gorgeous, a fab card using the lovely new colour Cherry Cobbler and a matching gift bag.
I am glad I got around to making them, what do you think.....

Thats all for now.

November 2010 ATC

Hello again,

I have been busy prepping for my card class on Wednesday afternoon and for a workshop on Tuesday evening, all done now and I will post some pictures of the cards next week.
I have also been doing my ATC's for the club I go to on Monday night, the theme this month was 'A Moment in Time', this is what I came up with...

I used a photo of my family which was taken at the Natural History Museum, we had to dress up and hold fossils, it was pretty cool...
Anyway I cut round it in an oval, mounted it on crumb cake card, punched one end with the Scallop Trim Border punch, then I daubed around the edge with chocolate chip and stamped the flowers around the edge from the tiny tags set. Finally I mounted it all on choc chip card...
I thought it came out quite well..
Hope you like it see you again soon.

Scrapbooking

I love scrapbooking and recently I was looking through my old photos and found some I thought, ooh they would look good scrapbooked.
The first page was of my children at a butterfly farm, they had the most amazing experience, there were so many butterflies and they just landed on you. Its the look on their faces, priceless..

I used one of my favourite stamp sets (Flight of the Butterfly) to do the background and to create the butterflies down the right hand side, along with the butterfly punch. Stampin'Up make it so easy to create backgrounds and embellishments.

The second page is of one of our many visits to Legoland, my children loved to go there and always had tons of fun. I used another favourite stamp set, Seeing Spots, which unfortunately is now retired, although there is a similar set called Circle Circus.  I added some flowers made using the scallop circle punch, really easy embellishments.

I like to print out my photo's so that I can make them different sizes and also I like adding text or making photo collages.
Anyway I hope you like them will be back with more soon.

Bye for now.....Rose

Shep Oct 2010

Hi everyone

Today I want to share some pictures of my gorgeous puppy, although looking at the size of him now he doesn't look very puppyish. He is only18 months old!!!!

He is so lovely, he absolutely adores water and just loves being in it, in fact its hard to keep him out of it. These pictures were taken on a day trip to Bourton-on-the-Water, such a beautiful place, well worth a visit...

Anyway Thanks for stopping by...

October 2010 ATC's

ATC's

I love doing ATC's (Artist Trading Cards) I take part in a monthly swap and I thought I would share one with you. The club is not Stampin'Up but I always use Stampin'Up products to make mine.

The subject was Recipe and I originally thought of doing a cupcake recipe but then I thought ooh what about a Stampin'Up recipe...  Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie and Chocolate Chip  mmm yummy...
My inspiration came from a card my upline saw on Monica's blog which we recreated.

We made a small change, the balloons on the original card were created using the rock and roll technique, we decided to use a different technique to create multicolour balloons, you take a piece of white felt and add drops of your chosen colour reinkers to create your own ink pad. Gorgeous.

I just loved how they turned out hope you do too...
Thanks for dropping by..

Stampin'Up is holding its second convention in London this year at Addington Palace on the 5th & 6th November and I am going, yippee
I was lucky enough to go to Convention last year in Germany and it was brilliant, meeting so many talented demos under one roof.
We make swaps to exchange with each other using product from the new catalogue, last year I managed to make 70 swaps, this year I am hoping to make 100 plus. I have decided what I want to do, now all I am waiting for is my delivery from Stampin'Up. I am soo excited...

I made them with my Wednesday afternoon card class and they went down a treat, Thanks Monica.

I just wanted to share these with you, I am really pleased with how they turned out, although I think I need more to finish it off. I am just waiting for my delivery from Stampin'Up to be delivered by that man in brown. I have ordered some of the new designer papers which are totally lush..and then I can make some more flowers for my bouquet. These are all made with retired DSP (designer series paper) unfortunatly but I still love it.
Tell me what you think....
Thanks for visiting.
Stamp Ninja...

Last weekend I drove two of my friends, Elaine and Ali to Alexandra Palace for the big craft show, this was Ali's first and she was sooo excited, she was like a child in a toy shop at Christmas time.
Walking round we saw a lady doing something with ribbon, on closer inspection we saw that she was weaving the ribbon to make wreaths to put on cards. I was facinated and had to have a go. Well I bought some ribbon and made two while I was walking around, they are soo easy and really pretty.

I showed them at Monday craft club and they loved them. Not sure that the picture does them justice.
Anyhoo thanks for dropping by hope to have more tomorrow.
