Blue Birds

Hello and welcome back,

We are talking Blue Birds today, anyone who knows me knows how much I love birds, I spend a fortune feeding them, nuts, seed, fat balls, but its all worth it to have them visit me in my garden...lol.....
I found these birds on the same site as Pooh Bear and Friends, cuddlycutedesigns/Cuddly-Critters and I just couldn't resist them....

They are so adorable, now I just have to make a card with them.....

Minions Treat Boxes

Helloooo and welcome back...

Yesterday I made a Minions Card with matching envelope, so today I made some treat boxes to go with it....

Aren't they awesome....

I used the Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits to make the box and the 3/4", 1/2" and 1/4" Circle punches for the eyes.

The Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits also includes 3 little label dies as well, so you can add a cute label to the treat box....

I love this little box it is so versatile, I have made Chicks and Penguins and Bunnies, they are just too cute...

Minions Birthday Card

Hey there and welcome back..

I made some Minions, (Dave & Stuart to be exact) a little while ago and decided that I needed to make them into a card, so I did.....

My colour scheme is Night of Navy, Crushed Curry and Whisper White, Inks were Night of Navy and Crushed Curry.

The sentiment is from the set Crazy About You and the stars are from the set Perpetual Birthday Calendar.

The "You are one in a Minion" was created using my label machine, I tried stamping it but it either wouldn't fit or it didn't look right....

The balloons are attached to the Minion using Crushed Curry Bakers Twine.

I am very pleased with the final card, I have a real soft spot for Minions....lol..

And to go with the perfect card....a perfect matching envelope.....made using the Envelope Punch Board...

So I hope you enjoyed my Minion Card....thanks for stopping by..come back soon...

Fire Engine Card

Hey there and welcome back,

Today I have this really cool Fire Engine Card, actually it's an American Fire Truck, but I really like it, it's one of those Paper Piecing templates, this one is by Lynn Pratt and you can find them here at stampndesignstore

Seriously how cool is this, I know a few little boys who would be well chuffed to receive a card like this on their birthday....

The card stock I have used is Cherry Cobbler, Basic Grey, Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight,Basic Black and Whisper White. Inks used Basic Grey and Daffodil Delight and Signo White Gel pen for the highlights....

Cute Koala Birthday Card

Helloooo and welcome back..

I have been having fun making this cute little fellow, he is sooo adorable....

The sentiment is from a long retired set called Sincere Salutations, I stamped it in Chocolate Chip and then punched it using my New Banner Triple Punch, added two small holes and threaded some Thick Bakers Twine through to hold it on to the card.

The striped background was created by drawing lines with an Old Olive Marker on to Old Olive Card, alternating thick and thin lines, I thought it looked quite effective....

I also did some faux stitching around the outside of the card with an Old Olive Marker.. I used the Circles Collection Framelits to make the two circles behind cuddly Koala, one in Old Olive and one in Whisper White.

And here is the finished card, if you would like to make the cuddly little Koala you will find him Here..cuddlycutedesigns

Happy Fathers Day Card

Hey there and welcome back,

I thought I would get a head start on Fathers Day and not leave it until the last minute like usual....
Since we live by the sea I thought I would go for a nautical theme and what could be better that The Open Sea.....lol.

I really love the images in this stamp set.....

The Whisper White background is stamped with Crumb Cake Ink using the World image from the set, to get it I stamped off the card and then on the card giving me a lighter image. I did the same when stamping the dote from the Gorgeous Grunge set. I used another image to stamp a background on the Soft Sky Card.

The sentiment is from the Crazy About You set, If you have the clear mount set you can line up the Happy and the Father's Day stamps on the same block and stamp them together.

I stamped the anchor on a piece of Whisper White and cut it out and tied it to the card with some Thick Bakers Twine. Then I added a piece of the Burlap Ribbon which I had frayed the edges of.

And there you have the finished card....

The card stock I used was Soft Suede, Soft Sky and Whisper White. The Inks were Soft Suede, Soft Sky and Crumb Cake.

Thanks for joining me today...

Giraffe Birthday Card

Hey there, welcome back,

I have been playing with Paper Piecing again, I just love these cute characters and although it can be quite time consuming cutting out by hand I think they are worth it.....

So today's card features a gorgeous Giraffe (or Riff Raff as my friends daughter calls them....lol) All supplies are Stampin'Up!

 Isn't he adorable....

I used Old Olive Card  and the Fringe Scissors to create the grass, see how uniform the cuts are, love those scissors.....

The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set and yes they are supposed to be on a slant...lol. Anyone who knows me will know that I struggle with anything that isn't straight and perfect. But occasionally I have a go!!

The background has been stamped using the Gorgeous Grunge set and So Saffron ink and the Daffodil Delight Card with Chocolate Chip using the same stamp.

If you need any supplies just click on any of the products below and it will take you to my on-line store, open 24/7

I hope you liked today's card, thanks for stopping by....

Large Handbag

Hi there and welcome back,

Continuing with the Handbag theme I have made a larger Handbag, It's a great size if you want to give a larger gift.....

I also made a Handbag Charm...a cute little teddy. you could personalise it as I have done...

To make the larger bag you have to join two pieces of card together to get the length you need, so I thought I would make a feature out of the join by putting a piece of card over it and adding faux stitching.

I added some of the Venetian Crochet Trim to hold on my bag charm...

And here are the three bags together....
If you would like to make a larger bag check out this video by Caroline Hallett HERE

Well I hope you enjoyed, thanks for stopping by...

Handbag Gift Bag.

Hello and welcome back,

As promised I have some more Handbag Gift Bags to share with you...

Yesterday you saw the really cute Mini Handbag which held 4" x 4" note cards. I had previously made some 5" x 5" cards in the New In Colours which I thought would look great in a little handbag. So I tweaked the dimensions a little and made this....

So here is the bag in Mint Macaron, made exactly the same way as the smaller version but I added an inch. The faux stitching was done with the New In Colour Stampin'write Marker.

I used the flower from the Crazy About You Stamp Set, which really lends itself to being layered, to make a bag charm.

Then I added some of the luscious New In Colour Dotted Lace Trim, believe me the picture in the catalogue does not do it justice, it is beautiful and so soft...

And here it is with the card I made. Behind is an envelope made using the Envelope Punch Board and the New Envelope paper shown here in Mint Macaron.

The New Envelope paper is available in the New In Colours (Mint Macaron, Cucumber Crush, Tip Top Taupe, Delightful Dijon and Watermelon Wonder) and also Neutrals (Whisper White, Very Vanilla and Kraft).

Here are the two Handbags side by side so you can see the size difference.

The New Catalogue products will be available from 2nd June 2015, if you would like a copy of the New Catalogue please let me know.... Other products such as the above stamp set and matching punch are available now just click on the product and it will take you to my online store....
