An Open Heart Christmas

Hey there and welcome back....

Today's card features that beautiful bird from the stamp set An Open Heart, it also uses the New Softly Falling Embossing Folder.

The base card is Cherry Cobbler with a Chocolate Chip mat. Then there is a piece of Soft Sky card which has been embossed with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder.

I stamped the bird n Basic Black then coloured it with Stampin' Write markers, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, So Saffron and Crushed Curry. The bow is from the Stamp Set Wondrous Wreath and stamped in Cherry Cobbler.

The fence is a piece of Whisper White stamped with the Hardwood Stamp and Smoky Slate ink, it is then trimmed down and the top shaped using paper snips. It is then attached to the card with dimensionals.

Before attaching it to the card I stamped the sentiment in Basic Black and added the pine branches that I coloured with markers. I stuck the bow on with dimensionals and added some Dazzling Details here and there...

The finished card, so pretty....

I hope you like todays card, thanks for stopping by...

Thinking Of You At Christmas

Hello and welcome back...

Today's card is almost the same as yesterday's but created a different way......

So instead of sponging the card before putting it through the Big Shot, I brayered versamark onto the Embossing Folder the side with the trees sticking up and put the plain card into the folder and through the Big Shot. Then I sprinkled clear embossing powder over and heat embossed.

Then I sponged over the card with Soft Sky, Marina Mist and Island Indigo and where you have heat embossed the ink doesn't take so you have lovely white shiny trees and a beautiful coloured background.

I made the banner in the same way but used the sentiment from the Stamp Set Embellished Ornaments and stamped it in Basic Black.

I used the smaller Label Punch to do the side bits and used Island Indigo card to go with the Island Indigo base card.

Instead of stamping the leaves directly on to the card I stamped them onto some Whisper White card and then cut them out and stuck them on to the card. The Bird was done in exactly the same way as yesterday and I cut out the branch freehand for the bird to stand on.

So here are the two cards side by side, I love both them but I am leaning towards the one on the right....

I hope you have enjoyed today's card, thanks for stopping by....

Happy Wonderful Christmas

Hi there and welcome back...

Today's card features the Woodland Embossing Folder and An Open Heart Stamp Set with the beautiful sentiment from the Wondrous Wreath Stamp Set...

This card was inspired by one made by Michelle Zindorf, although I have had to improvise as I didn't have all of the products that she used. The gorgeous bird is from An Open Heart Stamp Set, its stamped in Basic Black onto Whisper White card and coloured in with Crumb Cake, So Saffron and Delightful Dijon Stampin' Write Markers. It is then cut out ready to attach to the card.

The background has been sponged using Soft Sky, Marina Mist and Island Indigo Inks (I didn't have any sponges so I used my daubers which didn't quite get the same finish), not too bad though.. Then you put it through the big shot in the Woodland Embossing Folder.
The next step is to brayer Smoky Slate ink over the raised trees, followed by Whisper White ink.

I hand cut the branch as I didn't have the Among the Branches Stamp Set (it will be on my next order though!!!) I sponged it with Smoky Slate  and Whisper White inks and then stuck it on the card. The tiny leaves are from the Perpetual Birthday Calendar Stamp Set (Very Useful) Instead of the Among the Branches Set ( I so need this set) and are stamped in Pumpkin Pie and Delightful Dijon.

The beautiful sentiment is stamped in Basic Black onto Vellum and attached to the card and then I have taken a Decorative Label punched out of Basic Grey card, cut it in half and attached it to the side of the card, then finished it off with some White Candy Dots.

I'm still pretty pleased with the final card, check out Michelle's card HERE

Thanks for stopping by have a great day..

Thank You Cards

Hello and welcome back...

Today I have some Thank You Cards to share with you....
Have you ever been convinced you have a stamp set but find you actually don't!!!! well that's how I was with the set "Everything Eleanor" it has this beautiful flourish that I was going to use on this card... but as I don't have the set I used the next best thing..Flowering Flourishes. And although this is a little more fussy than I wanted I was still happy with the outcome....lol

So I made a bunch of them as you can never have too many Thank You cards....

I have used the stamp sets Flowering Flourishes, Gorgeous Grunge and the sentiment from An Open Heart.

The card stock is Pumpkin Pie, Soft Suede and Whisper White, and Pumpkin Pie and Soft Suede co-ordinating inks.

I stamped the little flowers from the flourish in Pumpkin Pie Ink and then cut them out, embossed them and added a Rhinestone to the center of each one.

All three stamp sets are really gorgeous and I loved combining elements from each set.

I really love how Stampin'Up! products all co-ordinate so beautifully it makes it so easy to make beautiful cards... I hope you agree...

Sneak Peek Swaps for Telford Training.

Helloooo,

And Welcome back, today I have a sneak peek at the swaps I am doing for our Stampin'Up! Training in Telford next weekend, I am super excited as I haven't seen any of my Stampin'Up! friends in what seems like ages.

Its an all day thing and as part of the experience Demonstrators make dummy cards or even 3D items to swap with each other. There are over 350 Demo's attending this year.. but I am only doing 50 swaps. Of course you don't have to make any but it is fun to bring home lots of ideas and inspiration.....

Soft Sky Card Stamped with the Hardwood stamp in Early Espresso...

Early Espresso Layer and Crumb Cake Layer stamped with Early Espresso ink and An Open Heart Stamp Set and a little bit of Gorgeous Grunge.

More Early Espresso, Soft Sky and Whisper White card stock, the Whisper White is stamped using An Open Heart Stamp Set in Early Espresso  Ink.

Basic Rhinestones coloured with Early Espresso Ink and Soft Sky flowers using the Petite Petals Punch. Each flower has been snipped between each petal and will be embossed to make it stand out, then a coloured jewel will be placed in the center.

I didn't mean to blur the final three pictures but it kind of adds to the mystery...lol...

I will post the finished card after the training on Saturday so pop back then...

Hope you enjoyed my sneak peek, Thanks for stopping by..
