Convention 2011

Helloooo..

Back again with some more photos from Convention.....
I made two lots of swaps general swaps and Pink Lady swaps.....
Firstly these were my general convention swaps, or at least me preparing them....
The flowers to go on the topper.......
The topper all stamped ready for assembly........
And the little cello bags with an M&S chocolate gingerbread man.........
And the finished article, ready for swapping.....

Inside the convention center, armed with my swap and ready to go....
Lots of madness as everyone tries to swap with everyone else....
I have to say there were some fabulous costumes and hats....the Germans were amazing....
Inside the main convention room...stage lit and ready...everyone finding tables and still swapping like mad....

Shelly, our co-founder on stage welcoming us.....
These were some of the decorations made using Stampin'Up! products, they were fantastic and I will show you more later.......
This my friend and co-demonstrator Christine with none other than Mickey & Minnie in the lobby of the New York Hotel, where the Convention was being held.
And this is me with Mickey & Minnie, we were really chuffed to bump into them with no one around them, we had only popped out at lunch time to get some air and enjoy the beautiful surroundings in the glorious sunshine.... what luck.........

Anyhoo thats all for now I will be back with some more.... Thanks for stopping by.....

Convention 2011

Hellooooooo

I have just had the most amazing four days ever,  My fellow demo Christine and I went to the 3rd Stampin'Up! European Convention which was held at Disneyland Paris..... Wahooo
We travelled by train to London and stayed overnight at a hotel across from St Pancras station. Then Thursday morning we caught the Eurostar all the way to Disneyland Paris, we arrived just before lunchtime. We stayed at Disney's Sequoia Lodge Hotel and were soooo lucky as our room was ready for us. So we took our luggage to the room, freshened up a bit and went for an explore.
This was on the TV when we arrived in our room...cool huh
Across the lake from the Sequoia Lodge was the Disney Village, lots of restaurants and shopping....
It was a bit dull and it had been raining but we thought who cares we are in Disney.....
But Friday was beautiful sunshine and very mild, no coats..... This is a small part of the Sequoia Lodge hotel it was soooo lovely.

Anyhoo that all for now I will be back with lots more...Stay tuned.....

Novembers Card Class

Helloooo

Well its been a busy month but to make matters worse I have been internet less and that has been a struggle....   I am having to use my dongle to do this post so here goes.....
These are the cards we made at this months class, inspired by Jenny Moors check out her site Stampin Moments.

The cards are made using the gorgeous French Foliage and the beautiful single stamp Young Vermillion, I soo love that little bird..
The colours used are Soft Suede, More Mustard, Pool Party and Very Vanilla.
We also used the gorgeous New Pool Party ruffled ribbon mmm lush....

A little bit of soft suede designer paper thrown in, from the neutrals paper stack...
How beautiful is that little bird, I used the blender pen to colour him in with Pool Party and Soft Suede inks.

A bit of rock and rolling with the leaves, I really like that technique, ink up the stamp with More Mustard and then roll the stamp in Soft Suede, I love the effect....
You get a real mixture of stamps in this set, words, postal stamp, leaves and splodges (sort of like water splashes)....
Anyway thats all for now, thanks for stopping by....

Beautiful Flowers

Hellooooo

We have been making beautiful flowers using the Big Shot and flower die.  We actually made these as a make n take at a workshop I did recently and they loved them.

Mine of course had to be blue......
Each layer has been put through the big shot, using different embossing folders.....
Then we added one of the large stampin up buttons to the center using linen thread..
They look great as a broach although I can't wait to try it using the new stampin up fabric....
Well thats all for now, thanks for stopping by...

School Diary

Helloooo

I just thought I would share with you a little project I did, which was to tranform my dull school diary into something any crafter would be proud to have in their bag......

I'm quite pleased with it and I have lots of lovely comments from co workers..

September Card Class

Helloooo

I gave my ladies a treat at my card class, we made three cards using supplies from the new catalogue. We as Demonstrators were allowed to buy certain items form the catalogue before its launch on the 1st October.
I chose the new InColours kit, the gorgeous lace punch plus some other bits and pieces...
These are the cards we made....
I am just loving the new in colours, especially Pool Party and Island Indigo, (well blues are my fave) and I teamed it with Dasher another favourite.
 Isn't that punch just gorgeous......

You can't see it very well but Dashers antlers are sparking with Dazzling Diamonds...
Another In colour Wild Whisteria, sooo pretty, again using the new punch and some Boho Blossoms.
One card I debossed and the other I embossed for a slightly different look..
The sentiment is another favourite from the Curly Cute Stampset and I just had to add a few pearls, you just gotta love them....

The last card uses Lucky Limeade and an old favourite (still available) Lovely as a Tree stampset and of course lots of dazzling diamonds.

Thats all for now hope you enjoyed them...
Thanks for stopping by...
